Hardware Support and Sales

TCSP has partnered with the best companies in the industry to bring you reliable and cost-effective IT equipment to your business; Dell, Sonicwall, Microsoft, Netgear, Brother, and much more. The following are some of the most essential products we use for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB).

Servers

Servers are the backbone of a business’ environment. User file storage, security, databases, and many others essential files are all examples of workloads that a local server is best suited for.

TCSP is partnered with Dell because their products are some of the most reliable in our experience and that of the small businesses that we have worked with.

Rack-Mounted Servers

Dell PowerEdge R330 (Ratchet) rack server with bezel, lcd model with 4 x 3.5" HDD configuration for business networking.

Rack Mounted Servers allow you to fit this same computing power into a small space. Dell PowerEdge R-series servers provide the power, versatility, flexibility and scale to meet the performance goals of most software and services.

These servers can be set-up and configured for any workload from file storage to a virtualization host. Rack servers are by far the most versatile servers available for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) workloads.

Tower Servers

PowerEdge T330 (Shockwave) tower server.

PowerEdge tower servers allow a small or medium-sized company to have powerful, enterprise-class availability and performance. Tower servers are generally quiet and don’t require additional equipment to support them. These servers are great choices for a variety of functions, from file storage to application hosting.

Other Servers

There are other server form factors available from Dell Business

  • VRTX
  • FX2
  • M1000e
  • PowerEdge M-Series
  • PowerEdge C-Series

All of these servers are made to handle maximum density in a data-center or remote office location. These server series are built for virtualization and resource distribution on a completely different scale than the other PowerEdge form factors.

Storage

Businesses may need additional storage for several reasons – for backups, too many virtual machines, expansion and others. There are a few storage technologies and options to choose from.

Network Attached Storage (NAS)

A Network Attached Storage (NAS) unit is a storage server and is solely dedicated to storage and retrieval of data. This unit can be used to store static user data, infrequently used files, or backups. A NAS is not designed for high-availability or high-speed operations.

NAS units generally support the same RAID systems that server systems support, allowing for redundancy across drives. This means if a single drive in the array fails, the data is not lost.

For frequently accessed or otherwise “live” data, businesses should look into a SAN.

Software Area Network (SAN)

Storage Area Network devices are used as a high-speed and high-availability solution where both performance and capacity are important. These units help support existing servers by providing the storage space for databases, large files, and virtual machines. They are well-equipped for any high-performance or high storage capacity needs. SANs are often used in Virtual Machine deployments where the storage space on the host server is not sufficient for the data.

Business Networking

Once a company is interested in having a computer system, the next question is how to hook it all up. There are many different components that need to come together to create a proper, secure, and low-maintenance network.

Firewalls

Sonicwall TZ-Series family in a stack, featuring Sonicwall TZ600, TZ500, TZ400, TZ300, and SOHO networking security appliances for business networking.

Sonicwall security appliances offer high performance and fast security screening for your network, all in a simple interface. Dell has several Sonicwall products available for any business, from the small home office to the biggest enterprises. All of the Sonicwall products can be configured with the security suite that includes:

  • Content Filtering
  • Gateway AntiVirus
  • Gateway Anti-Spam
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Network Monitoring

Most of the small and medium-sized businesses solutions are part of the Sonicwall TZ series, and these can additionally be equipped with 802.11n Wi-Fi networking.

Network Switch

A network switch is an extension of your network router. The switch provides an additional number of ethernet ports to allow more devices to connect to the router. There are two options, managed or unmanaged. With the unmanaged switch, you simply have more connections, a managed switch also enables you to create multiple private networks using one router.

The proper switch for your environment is essential to a trouble-free network. There are several vendors and variations that TCSP works with in this space. We will work with you to determine the proper speed, connectivity options (Ethernet, FiberChannel, SFP+, etc), and management features for your deployment.

Wireless Access Points

unifi-ap-ac-pro for business networking

UniFi devices are perfect for deploying site-wide Wi-Fi connections. With proper coverage, mobile devices can roam throughout the campus with a steady connection from one end of the designated area to the other. Users will appreciate the signal strength and automatic channel-switching to ensure that they will always have the best connection.

Computers

You, employees, and sometimes even clients will need to use them regularly; which makes them so important to your company’s network.

Desktop Computers

Three Dell OptiPlex 3040 desktop computers (Whitefish) facing right in a row. From left to right, the Micro and Small Form Factor and Mini Tower models for business networking.

Dell offers a wide range of business-class desktop computers in a variety of styles, called form factors. Whether you prefer something small and out of the way, or something that is expandable, there is something for your business in the Dell OptiPlex lineup. All of the OptiPlex computers offer Intel Core Processors, can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM, and either have a Hard Drive or Solid State Drive.

Laptop Computers

Business networking Dell Latitude 14 7000 Series (Model E7440) 14-inch laptop / notebook computer.

Dell Latitude laptops provide performance similar to that of a desktop in a lightweight and portable package for the professional on the go. Latitude computers can be configured with multiple power, mobility, and security packages to fit your business needs. All of the Latitude computers offer Intel Core Processors and can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM, and either have a Hard Drive or Solid State Drive.

Microsoft Surface

New offers, the Surface Pro 4, the Surface book and accessories are now available through TCSP. In addition, Dell offers ProSupport and ProSupport Plus coverage on these devices. We order, set up, manage, and support these devices for your business. We offer all models of these devices at a competitive price as a partner.

Thin Clients / Zero Clients

Business networking Dell Wyse 3000 Series 3010-T10 Thin Client.

A Thin Client is small form system that looks and acts like a desktop but actually relies on a server for everyday computing. They are used in place of desktops so users can easily access any virtual desktop or virtual application.

Thin Clients are part of a business’ Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and exist only to serve as a virtual machine (see Virtualization).

Thin clients are small, diskless devices – they have no storage of their own. They present a user with a standardized desktop that is erased once they log out or the device is reset.

These devices drastically reduce the complexity, and therefore the support costs of the system as a whole. The cost, security, manageability, and scalability benefits are all reasons why businesses needing high-security using a general computer configuration for users are using the Thin Client solution.

High-Performance Workstations

Dell Precision Mini Tower Workstation (Model 3620) codename Farallon MT for business networking.

These computers offer far more power and performance than a standard desktop, and are ideally suited for development, CAD, or scientific work. All of the Precision workstations offer Intel Xeon Processors and can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM, dual NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, Intel Xeon Phi co-processors, and multiple Hard Drive or Solid State Disks.
